IOWA CITY, Iowa-Iowa in danger of being remembered more for its finish than its fantastic start.

Sporting News staff reports The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports that Minnesota freshman linebacker Sam Maresh is a suspect in an alleged assault on Nov. 9 of a 26-year-old male student outside a local cafe. "It is an allegation until further investigation reveals different," Minneapolis police spokesman Jesse Garcia said. Maresh, who had heart surgery last year and recovered from a leg tumor this year before joining the team, has not been... charged or arrested. He refused to comment on the story.
